What I am Loving – Minette’s Vintage

Our latest Melbourne discovery is a shop that we have driven past quite a few times, and I am sorry to say, never noticed….Minette’s Vintage.

And I am so glad that we have now found it…although I think my credit card is wishing we hadn’t…

As we walked into the store, we were greeted by the lovely Amy who is the owner of Minette’s Vintage….and I was instantly in heaven!

Minette’s Vintage is a small store but is stocked full of furniture, clothing and keepsakes….I could quite happily spend an hour in there browsing…

There were dresses, jackets, tops….even hats…a mixture of new and vintage.

Sunglasses….see those red ones….now mine…

Shoes….

And lots of other treasures including hand sewn cushions made from vintage tea towels..

Earrings made out of layers of damaged book pages…jigsaw brooches…

Lots of little displays…buttons and lace….I love those scissors!

Beautifully coloured hemp twine…

Amy was delightful, and more than happy to chat…and while she and my husband were having an in depth discussion, I was prowling the store, and not surprisingly came up with a few things that just had to come home with me…

I fell in love with a gorgeous fifties style dress..black and white gingham complete with a bright red belt.

Amy helped me find my size….then gave me a red petticoat to wear underneath the skirt…OMG…had to have!

I will do an outfit image when I can but in the meantime,  you can just see it in the window display…its the one on the right….now just need an occasion where I can wear it…party anyone?

In the end, I left with a compete outfit…the dress, the red petticoat, a hair band, a pair of funky red sunglasses….plus a handbag…yep….another one…
